Get your poems ready for our May Slam Poetry Event!
On Wednesday, May 5th, The Field Library in Peekskill is proud to present slam poetry legend, Tony Brown.
Tony Brown has been writing poetry for over thirty years. He has
released thirteen chapbooks and (as part of the performance poetry/
bass and guitar duo “Duende”) 2 CDs. He is an active member of the
Worcester, MA and national Slam Family poetry communities.
He will hold a series of workshops and performances at Peekskill’s Middle and High schools with a culminating public performance and open mike, for all ages at 3:30 p.m. in the Field Library. Refreshments and pizza will be served.
Tony Brown is visiting Westchester at the invitation of Eric “ZORK” Alan, the host of Poetry Slams at the White Plains Public Library and the Yonkers Public Library.
