Join a February Book Club!

Stop by and pick up a book today to participate in one of the Field Library’s Teen Book Clubs! Sign up today to read The Boneshaker by Kate Milford or Life of Pi by Yann Martel.

On Monday, March 21st, the Field Library Middle School Book Club will be discussingThe Boneshaker by Kate Milford. 

When Jake Limberleg brings his traveling medicine show to a small Missouri town in 1913, thirteen-year-old Natalie senses that something is wrong and, after investigating, learns that her love of automata and other machines make her the only one who can set things right.

Check out a copy of The Boneshaker at the Field Library and then return on the 22nd for a fun book discussion and snacks.

*This meeting takes place on a Tuesday, instead of our usual Monday meetings because the Field Library will be closed for President’s Day on February 21st.  This meeting is during mid-winter recess for Peekskill and Lakeland schools and will not interfere with LEAP.

Books are available to be picked up at the Field Library.

On Monday, February 28th, the Field Library High School Book Club will be discussing Life of Pi by Yann Martel.

Life of Pi is the fantastical story of Pi Patel, a sixteen-year-old South Indian boy who survives at sea with a tiger for 227 days.

Check out a copy of Life of Pi at the Field Library and then return on the 28th for a fun book discussion and snacks.

Last month was the first meeting of this group, and we had a great discussion of The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini.

Books are available to be picked up at the Field Library.
