March Teen Book Clubs

Stop by and pick up a book today to participate in one of the Field Library’s Teen Book Clubs! Sign up today to read MockingJay by Suzanne Collins or In the Time of the Butterflies by Julia Alvarez.

On Monday, march 21st, the Field Library Middle School Book Club will be discussing Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins. 

***Warning***Mild SPOILERS if you have not read the first two books ***

On Monday, March 28th, the Field Library High School Book Club will be discussing In the Time of the Butterflies by Julia Alvarez.

This tale of courage and sisterhood set in the Dominican Republic during the rise of the Trujillo dictatorship. A skillful blend of fact and fiction, In the Time of the Butterflies is inspired by the true story of the three Mirabal sisters who, in 1960, were murdered for their part in an underground plot to overthrow the government.

Check out a copy of In the Time of the Butterflies at the Field Library and then return on the 28th for a fun book discussion and snacks.
