The Field Library in Peekskill is proud to present Chris August*!
Chris August will hold a series of workshops and performances at Peekskill’s Middle and High schools with a culminating public performance and open mike, for all ages at 3:30 p.m. in the Field Library.
One and all are welcome to attend and PARTICIPATE, so bring along some of your own best poetry, or a favorite poem that you would like to share.
Pizza and refreshments will be served.

Chris August Bio:
Chris August, a writer and special educator from Baltimore, Maryland. Chris has been a part of the national poetry slam community since 2002. In that time, he has been ranked among the top ten performance poets in the world and has performed and competed across the country. He is the author of several self published collections of poetry.
*Our originally scheduled poet, Dawn Saylor, had to reschedule. Fortunately for all of us, our amazing Slam Master Zork has many poets up his sleeve and we are very excited for the return of Chris August!
